KYOS – Grillo
Kyos is named after the Greek island Chios, chosen as the name of this wine because of the fame of their wines since mythological times, and the similarity in the Sicilian climate, lifestyle and viticultural traditions.
Kyos is made from 100% Grillo grapes, from 10 year old vines, specially selected and hand picked in the first 20 days of September when they are perfectly ripe. The grapes are gently pressed the same day as the harvest and the must is carefully decanted. Fermentation follows under controlled temperatures after which the wine is decanted and refined in stainless steel vats.
This is a beautiful straw-colored wine with tropical flavors of exotic fruits reminiscent of white melon and pineapple with a fresh clean finish. The soft fruity flavors of Kyos Grillo pairs well with pasta dishes with light sauces, soups, fish and shellfish, white meats, and soft cheeses. Should be served slightly chilled
