RECIOTO della VALPOLICELLA
This wine is made from
Corvina and Rondinella grapes. Only the grapes with the highest
level of sugar are selected from the “fruttai” to
make recioto. Because of the higher content of sugar in the grapes,
the fermentation process goes quicker and the yeast stops working
quicker. After one year of barrel aging, the result is a profoundly
delicious young red wine with grandeur somewhere between Barolo
and Port. This is a beautiful wine with a dark ruby color, intriguing
depth and a rich aroma of cherry plums and dried fruits. A rich
and sweet way to end an engaging meal.
