Ramon Canals remains a family-owned winery, based in Catalonia’s Castellví de Rosanes, near Barcelona. All of the Ramon Canals wines are produced from sustainable vineyards, with emphasis on environmental conservation. This protects both the family’s land, as well as the quality of its wines. Now on its third generation of winemakers, the family believes that Catalonia’s winemaking should demonstrate the region’s distinct quality and local culture. Indeed, the family owns and operates a private museum on Catalonia’s long history, including its extensive past as a winemaking region—stretching back to the 4th century B.C.
